Call didn’t choose to wake up.
He was born into the system like the rest of us.
Given a name. A path. A set of rules.
Taught what to chase. Who to be. What to feel.
Every step forward was actually a step inward—deeper into the maze.
He didn’t question it. He ran like he was told.
Smile, nod, perform. Just like you did.
Then, they tagged him.
Not a scar.
A label.
Red. Clean. Official. Placed right on his ear—where truth used to enter.

It wasn’t painful.
That’s the worst part.
It was invisible obedience.
The kind that makes you forget you were ever free.
The kind that makes you mistake control for safety.
The tag didn’t say “owned.”
It didn’t need to.
It said: We’ve got you. Stay in line. Smile for the camera. Keep running.
And he did.
For a while.
Until something in him broke—not loudly. Quietly.
A crack.
A second of silence between the noise.
And in that space, he remembered: This isn’t life.
This is a loop.
He stopped.
And when he did, the others kept running past him.
They didn’t even see him anymore.
Because once you stop, you become invisible to the system.
And also terrifying to it.
He turned around.
Not to fight.
Not to preach.
To leave.

He walked backwards through the lie.
Through the classrooms, the advertisements, the mirrors, the applause.
Through everything that said “This is who you are.”
And when he found the edge, the tear in the fabric, the exit—he didn’t disappear.
He came back.
He came back for the ones still running.
The ones who feel it—the crack, the pull, the wrongness—but don’t know what it is.
He kept the tag.
Not as a badge.
Not as some hero’s scar.
But because he wants you to see it.
To remember: you were tagged too.
And his name?
His name is Call—because he is one.
Not a message.
Not a guide.
A shock to the system.
The part of you that never forgot.
He’s not here to lead you to enlightenment.
He’s here to break you out of prison.
And if you’re seeing this—you’ve already started to wake up.
Rabbits have been secretly there to wake us up, and show us the simulation for a long time.
Even "The Velveteen Rabbit" offered a warning:
