There’s a stupid myth out there — that if you just follow the checklist, go by the book, and keep your head down, everything will work out.
…Well, sometimes it doesn’t.
And if you want the truth, especially when people are trying to hide it — that play-it-safe mindset is almost never the answer.
...I know, because I tried.
...I gave it everything I had.
...I followed every rule.
And it wasn’t enough.
Because I played by the rules…
And someone I cared about paid the price.
But none of it gave me what I really needed: the ability to see what was coming.
To catch what others missed.
To protect the people who were counting on me.
So I did what most people do when they hit that wall.
I started looking for a way out. Something different. Something that actually worked. I looked everywhere.
I was buried in manuals, research, and raw field reports.
I wasn’t looking for theory. I was hunting for answers.
Because I’d seen firsthand what happened when we got it wrong.
I started digging into everything from CIA training protocols to ancient behavioral science.
I dissected every interrogation video I could get my hands on.
And I started connecting dots — not just from textbooks, but from the field. Real situations. Real consequences.
I saw how the best operators weren’t winging it.
They weren’t relying on gut instinct or charisma.
They had structure. A model.

And the more I studied, the more I saw patterns…
So I decided to take what I was learning… and put it to the test.
